Dr. Eke received his MBBS degree from University of Nigeria and holds a postgraduate Fellowship in paediatrics, FWACP.

He also holds a subspecialty certificate in Gastroenterology of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa and Master of Philosophy in paediatric gastroenterology from the University of Cape Town.

He is currently pioneering the establishment of paediatric hepatology at the University of Nigeria.

Dr. Eke has over 76 publications and serves   as an external examiner in paediatrics to 5 medical schools in Nigeria.

His current research areas include exploring   local home – made complementary foods and viral hepatitis in Nigerian children.
