DR NNEKA ILOANUSI
Lecturer 1Dr Nneka Ifeyinwa Iloanusi is a medical practitioner for 19 years; a board-certified and fellowship-trained radiologist, a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons since 2008. She is also a lecturer with the Department of Radiation Medicine, College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, Ituku-Ozalla Campus, Nigeria, since 2016. Her academic and research interests are in the fields of breast cancer screening, women’s imaging, paediatric radiology and medical informatics. Dr Iloanusi has participated in many community-based cancer screening projects in South-East Nigeria with various non-governmental, not-for-profit organizations like ‘Breast Without Spot Initiative’ (BWS Initiative) and the Women’s Board of the Educational Cooperation Society (ECS-WB). She has been actively involved in the activities of the breast imaging unit of the Radiation Medicine Department in University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu since 2007, and some of her publications reflect the initial experiences of the unit. Her major interests in paediatric radiology are with regard to the search for alternative non-ionizing modalities for imaging children especially in an emergency setting.
