Dr Onyinyechi Chinweokwu
Lecturer 1
I am a Lecturer in the department of Otorhinolaryngology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Nigeria, Enugu campus, an honorary Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital and a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons.
I earned my Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery from Abia State University in 2003, did a one-year internship in the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital and followed it up with a residency in otorhinolaryngology which I completed in 2014.
I am a Commonwealth Scholar, and was sponsored for a Masters in Audiology for ENT Practice which I completed in 2012 with a Distinction from the University College London. I have had the privilege of attending a course on Public Planning for Hearing Impairment run by the London School of Tropical hygiene and the University of Cape Town. This has armed me with the skills necessary for the planning and implementation of public health programs to improve the hearing health of my patients and the community at large.
I am currently on study leave while I pursue a PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders in the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
I am blessed with a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.
