I am a senior lecturer and honorary consultant in the department of Obstetrics & Gynaecoloy, College of Medicine , University of Nigeria (UNN) & University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH). Before I joined the University of Nigeria Medical School in June 2005, I had previously served as the head of department and state programme officer of Enugu State Tuberculosis & Leprosy (TBL) control programme as well as the medical officer in-charge of Oji River General Hospital & Leproseleum (1991-1995). From May 2002 to May 2005, I served as consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and PMTCT programme coordinator at Parklane Specialist Hospital Enugu. I am an expert in infectious diseases, reproductive and sexual health, reproductive anatomy and feto-maternal medicine. I have had several certificate courses at home and abroad on clinical and administrative components of leprosy and TB control as well as on prevention, treatment, care and support services in HIV. I also have a postgraduate diploma and M.SC on Reproductive and Sexual Health Research at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London.
I am currently the Head of Department, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Nigeria/University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu.
