I am Professor Chimdi  Memnofu  Chuka-Okosa nee Ekwerekwu. I hail from Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria; a 1985 Medical graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka;  became a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in the Faculty of Ophthalmology in 1993; obtained an MSc in Community Eye Health from the Institute of Ophthalmology, University of London, in 1995;  became a Professor in 2006; have  44 publications in peer-reviewed journals; one professional textbook and 3 book chapters.

 I have presented papers/lectures at several  conferences; currently the UNN Site Principal Investigator in an ongoing Multicentre research on the Genetics of Glaucoma in sub-Saharan Africa, sponsored by NIH, USA.
