Professor IJ Emodi is a professor of Paediatrics with an interest in Haematology, Oncology and HIV/AIDS.

She graduated from the University of Nigeria MB Bch in 1978 with distinctions in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Pathology. She also has postgraduate degrees from the National Postgraduate College and the West African College of Physician. She has published 104 articles in international, national and local journals and 2 chapters in the Nigerian paediatric text book for both postgraduate and undergraduate students.

She has also participated in writing the national guidelines on management of paediatric and adolescent HIV/AIDS.
