PROF ONOCHIE I OKOYE

Professor of Ophthalmology

 

Prof. Onochie  Ike  Okoye,a professor in ophthalmology and consultant ophthalmologist/Low vision clinician, attended King’s College, Lagos ,University of Nigeria,Nsukka and University of Ibadan,Nigeria. An alumnus of the MacLean Medical Ethics Fellowship program, he was a co-ordinator /instructor on the Fundamentals of Clinical Research course of the Centre for Global Health in the University of Chicago, USA till 2017. Prof Okoye has extensive clinical research and fieldwork experience from previous participation in sponsored projects related to onchocerciasis,  childhood fevers/refractive errors, cataract intervention strategies and future unspecified-use research involving human biological  samples. His current research interests revolve largely around bioethics, low vision issues and medical education.
