Brief Biography:

 

                          

 

Professor Samuel Nnamdi Obi hails from Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government of Anambra State.  A graduate of University of Nigeria, Fellow of West African College of Surgeons and International College of Surgeons. He was employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, College of Medicine, University of Nigeria on 1st June, 2005 and a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku/Ozalla. He has many Publications in peer reviewed journals. He acts as both Examiner and External Examiner to many Nigerian Universities. He is also an examiner in West African Postgraduate Medical College in the Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has participated as member of Accreditation team of West African Postgraduate College in accrediting some training centres in Nigeria for Postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He became the Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in 2013 where he rendered effective and inspiring leadership to the department, supporting the progressive strategies of the University Administration. He reviewed the Student Curriculum of the Department. He is happily married to Mrs. Chigor Obi and blessed with four children.
